Hair Care Routine Update: Fullness for Days

April 15, 2017

Ever since I moved up to New York, my hair isn’t quite as cooperative as it used to be in Atlanta. Maybe its the water or the harsh weather…who knows! It’s not like my hair was getting unhealthy, but I didn’t have the same fullness or volume in my hair. My curls were hardly making it through the day! Even the tight wand curls would fall out within hours. All of that changed when I discovered this new shampoo and conditioner… but first, a little back story!

A few weeks ago, I got invited to a hair salon for a complimentary hair and makeup session! When I walked in, the hairstylist asked me what was the number one thing I wanted for my hair. Obviously, I said “VOLUME. I need my Volume Back!” So, before styling my hair she proceeded to wash it. As she was washing my hair, I was in awe of the wonderful smelling shampoo (there is something about the salon shampoos, they smell so delicious). Anyway, after she shamooped and conditioned my hair, it was time to dry it! But, before we get into the drying process…let me share the shampoo details below.

Shampoo & Conditioner

The Bamboo Fiber-full shampoo doesn’t to dry my hair out. Its very gentle and smells great. What I love the most about this duo is that the conditioner doesn’t have an oily texture. It definitely does it’s job without making your hair feel all oily and “icky”. Now, I know what you’re thinking, because I thought the same thing. “Salon shampoo is usually expensive and hard to find!” Actually, not this time. Both shampoo and conditioner are easily accessible and can be bought at Target or ULTA Beauty stores.

Now, lets talk about the drying process, because I’ve got one more product to share!

Hair – Drying Process

Fullness for DaysSo, when the hairstylist started to blow dry my hair, she sprayed the Bamboo fiber-full Root Booster into my roots. This thing is THE secret behind the volume in my hair these days. I don’t know what kind of potions made this spray, but it’s doing lots of magic to my hair!

I ended up leaving the salon with the full OGX Bamboo Fiber-full line-up and have been using it at home for the past few weeks, and I absolutely love it. I’m pretty sure my husband actually uses it for his beard and hair too. And to top it off, OGX is a cruelty-free brand, something Nabeel and I always look for when we are shopping for new skin and haircare products.

If you decide to try these products, share your results with me. I’d love to hear from you!

Have a wonderful day!
