French Toast

French Toast is one of those things that I really have a love hate relationship with. When other people are having it, I really want it, but I’m never inclined to order it on my own. However, there’s a specific french toast I’m in love with from a place called Blue Moon in Baltimore. They have this awesome version of french toast that’s made with Captain Crunch and I miss it terribly.

French Toast

Since Maryam was coming up to New York, I figured I would take a shot at making it for breakfast one morning. It’s a step away from my typical healthy-ish breakfasts, but sometimes you just need to enjoy life. Unfortunately I couldn’t find Cap’n Crunch at either of my local grocery stores, but I found Cinnamon Toast Crunch and figured it would be worth a shot. The result? A delicious, crunchy, and perfectly sweet version of french toast.
